Meet Our Team

Here at Mira we are passionate about people, and that passion is translated into everything we do. We want Mira to be a place where people can relax and build meaningful connections. We even wrote a kind of mantra about it.

Our approach to customer service is simple. It starts with a salon-wide dedication to our clients, our craft and our fellow service providers. We are different than most salons in that we cheerfully share our clients with each other. If your favorite Mira service provider isn’t available on the date you need, you can see someone else and be assured of great results. What makes this work is Mira’s training program that all staff must complete.

Our dedication to consistency and quality ensures that no matter who you see at Mira, you will experience the same care, creativity and exceptional customer service.

  • Mary (Owner)

    Mary (Owner)

Vibrant, expressive and energetic, Mary proudly took over as Mira's owner in April 2024. Having been apart of Mira for almost 10 years, she was ready and excited for this next step. She’s ready for anyone who walks through our doors and sets the tone for a great visit. For Mary, even the smallest interactions matter. She sees each exchange as an opportunity to learn about someone and make a connection.

Being of service, leading from the heart and with intention is the highest priority for Mary. Nothing brings Mary more joy than making someone feel good about themselves, and she is thrilled to be apart of making someone's day, everyday.

When she's not in the salon, you can find her chasing her two boys around with her husband or getting dinner with her best girlfriends. She is always on the go, and loves to keep herself busy with friends and family!

Mary’s life hack: Buck up and carry all the groceries in one trip—there is a way.

  • Jaycee (Salon)

    Jaycee (Salon)

She may be new to the professional salon world, but Jaycee caught the stylist bug early on.

Growing up with three sisters — and being part of a dance team — gave her access to lots of heads on which she could practice braiding and fancy up-dos.

Fast-forward a decade or so, and Jaycee is now an important part of the Mira stylist team. After graduating from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Bloomington, she landed an apprenticeship at Mira and hasn’t looked back.

Jaycee loves learning from her colleagues, and has been known to ask “a million and a half questions” about technique to grow her own skills. She’s a wiz at dimensional color (red peekaboo balayage, anyone?), and enjoys working closely with each client’s unique color palette to create a look that will suit their personal style.

Outside of work, you can find Jaycee getting crafty by reupholstering furniture, hanging out with her cat, Robo, or dancing.

  • Sydney (Spa)

    Sydney (Spa)

Sydney has been bringing a fresh new perspective and positive energy to our spa since 2019.  She has been a beauty lover since she was young, and would spend hours watching make-up videos like it was her job, then one day it hit her that beauty actually could be her job. This brought her to the decision to take a leap of faith and get her esthetician license from Tricoci University of Beauty culture. Her passion’s for all things skin shows in her constant desire to learn and adapt to new trends in the industry. She believes that there is never a reason to stop learning and growing!

Whenever she is not working you can either find her at home with her husband and their two dogs watching Netflix, or leading worship at her church! She has some major pipes on her!

Sydney says her life hack would be- escape from the real world a little, take a bubble bath and forget about it!

  • Emily (Spa)

    Emily (Spa)

Like a guitar riff that instantly puts you in a good mood, Emily West and her awesome esthetician skills will turn your day around. (Makes sense—when she’s not in the salon, you can find her strumming her acoustic six-string.)

From brow transformations to facials, she’s obsessed with making her clients feel beautiful in their own skin, in the least invasive way possible. With her warm smile and effortless style, Emily works to build a trusting relationship with each client to truly bring out their inner beauty.

Originally from Bedford, Ind., she studied in the esthetics program at Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in Bloomington. After earning her esthetician license, she went on to become certified in dermaplaning, micro needling, and microblading/semi-permanent makeup.

Emily stays on top of all the latest beauty treatments trends. Hard-pressed to pick a favorite (she loves them all!), she did say she’s partial to dermal infusions because “they are good for all skin types and they give instant transformative results.”

When she’s not transforming clients, Emily enjoys listening to her favorite genre of music, indie, which is also her daughter’s name.

Emily’s life hack: Dress in all neutrals—it’s just easier that way.

She studied esthetics at Aveda Fredric’s Institute in Carmel, Ind. Glowing and healthy skin are her passions, but that’s not all — chemical peels, high frequency, waxing, tinting, brow and lash lamination, and more are all part of her esthetician toolbox.

When she’s not making magic at Mira, Tanya is an accomplished baker, travel lover, avid reader, weekend crafter, and mama to her beautiful children.

  • Mariah (Reception)

    Mariah (Reception)

Mariah lives life hands-on. Gardening? Check. Home improvement? Check. Quilting? Stitch an X on that box, too, and never mind if it’s a little crooked. Mariah dreams big. She’s got notebooks and sketches and plans for everything, and there’s nothing she can’t accomplish with willpower and a YouTube tutorial.

With 15 years in customer service, Mariah has learned a few things. If you listen closely, each person has fascinating experiences. If you look closely, each day becomes a shifting kaleidoscope of stories and faces that reveals new perspectives, new ideas, new beauty. She loves helping other people see themselves through a different lens. Sometimes that takes a fresh cut or style. Other times, a little spa pampering works magic from the inside out.

Mariah’s life hack: Buy a moisture meter for your house plants, and you’ll never drown or dry them out again (mostly never).
